F is for Fashion Show

WKU’s Black Student Alliance hosted their 7th Annual Rip the Runway fashion show on Thurs., April 21st, in the Garrett Conference Center ballroom.  The ballroom was transformed into something out of New York Fashion Week with a triple runway and seats along each side, lights, and popular music. All the clothes were donated to the entirely student run show by Dillards and Vanity. The male and female student models presented business attire, casual clothes, formal attire and summer swimsuits.  Much preparation went into the night.  Girls especially took extra time in the dressing room getting dressed and doing each other’s hair and makeup.  By the end of the night Candice Adams, a junior from Louisville who helped organize the event said she thought the show was a success.  “I thought our models did well,” she said. “I’m excited.”
