E is for Easter

Hundreds of families in the Bowling Green area met at The Hot Rods stadium on Saturday, the day before Easter, to participate in EasterFest. Kids with baskets and shopping bags raced to get as many as of 30,000 eggs as possible.  The competition was intense with all of the eggs picked up within minutes. EasterFest was hosted by Cross and Community Church, Broadway Methodist, and WAY FM radio station.  WAY FM radio station is Nashville based and instead of supporting Nashville Easter events they sponser Bowling Green’s EasterFest each year.  EasterFest is a free event and it’s goal is to give Bowling Green families of all social standings an opportunity to celebrate Easter, especailly lower income families and those who may not otherwise afford to give there kids their own Easter-egg hunt.
