Practicum-- Week #9...yikes

MARCH 27, 2011--Country dancer, Dan Turner, 74, of Bowling Green, eats breakfast at bar of the Barnyard Cafe in Bowling Green, on Sunday morning, March 27, 2011. Turner loves his cowboy boots and the Texas Two-Step.


MARCH 25, 2011-- The cast of "Maggie The Pirate" huddle together one more time just before they open the house doors. The play reading of the musical was presented by WKU's Theater and Dance Department as part of The WKU Before Broadway Series in WKU's Russell Miller Theatre on Friday night, March 25, 2011.

MARCH 26, 2011--During a chilly Saturday afternoon, grandfather Ken Markin of Cape Girardeau, Mo., plays catch with his 7-year-old grandson, Josiah Markin, of Bowling Green, at Covington Woods Park. Ken Markin came down to Bowling Green just for the weekend to help out his daughter while she works and also to get some play time in with Josiah.


MARCH 25, 2011-- Audience members and performers dance together on stage in Western's Downing University Center on Friday night, March 25, 2011, for Western's Night At The Apollo. Western's Night At The Apollo is based off of the famous television show called "Showtime At The Apollo" that was filmed from the 1980s until 2008 that takes place at Harlem, New York's famous Apollo Theatre. There the audience members are known to either cheer on the performers or boo them off stage.

MARCH 25, 2011-- Audiences of "Showtime at the Apollo" (a famous television show that takes place at the famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem, N.Y.) are known to be outspoken and animated which proves to be true for Western's "Night At The Apollo" that took place in Western's Downing University Center's Theatre Friday night. Dillon Hayes, 18, of Bowling Green, (center right) dances with Sandra Sambu, 21, of Nashville, Tenn., (center left) in-between acts.
