Bennett had left the district when she had a baby and when she returned to a teaching position in November of 2010, she was forced to assume a first-year teacher status. Because of this, she's been told she likely won't have a job next year. Bennett has worked in Las Vegas' school district since 2004. Her and her husband, who is also a teacher in the district, moved out to Las Vegas from New York, N.Y., because the cost of living was too high to raise a family. |
