
It's Spring!!

MARCH 18, 2011-- In an effort to conquer kid's cancer, WKU's Head Baseball Coach, Chris Finwood, got his head shaved after Friday night's baseball game vs. Middle Tennessee. Finwood along with 11 of his baseball players were among the first to shave their heads followed by several other volunteers. The event which was hosted by the WKU Baseball team and the Omega Phi Alpha sorority, was put on to raise money and awareness for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. The foundation is committed to funding research and finding cures for childhood cancers.

MARCH 20, 2011-- On WKU's South Lawn, Mary Zellmer (far right), 19, of Paducah, Ky., and Wynn Shroyer (center), 20, of New Salisbury, Ind., both head for the frisbee that their coach Heather Summers, (left), 24, of Stillwater, Okla., is about to throw at Sunday afternoon's practice. The girls are all members of the Women's Ultimate Frisbee Club at WKU.

MARCH 18, 2011-- Two girl's dance to DJ Zeüüs at The Return of the Warehouse Rave at The Hands Club Warehouse in Bowling Green Friday night, March 18, 2011. The rave was hosted by Rave DMZ and lasted until 4 a.m.

MARCH 20, 2011-- Keeping his balance, Dawson Hayes, 8, of Bowling Green, rides a bike for the first time without training wheels as his mom, Stefanie Hayes, runs along-side at Spero Kereiakes Park. Dawson suffers from Asthma and Epilepsy which has been a significant concern for his parents who wanted to make sure that those were both in-check before they let him ride a bike by himself. "We're finally starting to feel safe with letting him give it a shot," Stefanie Hayes said. Dawson has been on medication for about a year now and his symptoms seem to be under control.
